Traffic tickets
A judge may dismiss a traffic ticket with or without court cost. Any ticket that is dismissed by the judge will not appear on your motor vehicle record. Traffic tickets Traffic and Parking Civil infractions - are traffic offenses not serious enough to be classified as crimes, but serious enough to deserve sanctions other than jail. They include minor traffic violations such as speeding and parking violations. The District Court where the violation occurred handles these matters. If you have received a traffic ticket and you want to pay the ticket you may be able to pay the ticket without appearing in person at court. This is called a Waiver. Most tickets can be waived. However there are some tickets that cannot be waived. You must appear in court for the following tickets: a traffic ticket, the payment indicated on your ticket may be paid in our office prior to your court date. Acceptable forms of payment are cash, credit card, Apple Pay, Android Pay, cashiers check or money order. If you are sending your payment by mail, a cashier's check or money order must be received prior to your court date. To assure that your payment is properly processed, the ticket number must be written on the check or money order. You may appear in court to have your case heard before a judge, entering a plea of guilty or not guilty at that time. You may also request a trial.
