Traffic tickets
The police can collect your driving license if you seriously
endanger road safety. The police will send your driver's license to the public
prosecutor within 3 days. It will decide within 10 days whether your driver's
license will be withheld or whether you will get your driver's license back. Do
you disagree with the prosecutor's decision? Then you can submit a request to
get your driver's license back. The public prosecutor is legally obliged to
bring the case before the criminal court within 6 months after the recovery.
You must pay a Traffic ticket because you
committed a traffic violation with a vehicle. You received a letter at home and
an official report from the police or the public prosecutor, with more
information about the violation.
